A Girl Named Lost

So, this has probably proved how bad I am at keeping blogs updated. But whatever, it’s mine, I’ll update it whenever I feel like doing so. …which happens to be now, haha.

About an hour ago, my mother was kind enough to frighten the bloody hell out of me by evincing unthinkable, mortal peril. In other words, while I was running down the stairs at the sound of her scream, I was thinking that maybe that there was a zombie on our front porch or something to that effect. But it was even better! We were being set upon by about forty hot air balloons. [See photo? It was a lot more than that, but the was the most we got in one picture.]

It’d pretty much slipped my mind, but apparently it’s Derby weekend. Somehow, horse racing is a big enough deal to warrant not only the largest annual fireworks show in North America, but also the largest hot air balloon… an enormous Energizer bunny. No, I don’t get it either.

However, considering the fact I am about as easily amused as a three-year-old, of course I spent the twenty or so minutes it took them all to pass over our house outside staring up at the sky. I mean, seriously—ten-storey pink bunny. Plus, the wind took them right over my house. It was nifty.

Anyway, there was my excitement for the day. I’m a geek? Yeah. Nothing new there.

On an unhappy note, however: Secondhand Serenade was here last night. I knew weeks ago, and I forgot. Forgot! Am so aggravated right now. Hmph.
